Cargo freight heads toward slowest year
Less than 100 million pounds of cargo passed through the Chicago Rockford International Airport in October for the ninth straight month, showing that the demand for goods is not picking up heading into the holiday season.

For the year, cargo freight is 21 percent below the 2008 pace, when 1.42 billion pounds of cargo passed through Rockford, and shipping is on pace to have its slowest year this decade.

Cargo freight has been lower year over year for 10 straight months.
