Chicago Rockford International Airport has announced several more performers at AirFest 2009 on Aug. 22 and 23.

The U.S. Navy Leap Frogs and the Aerostars will perform at the show both days. Also, the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber will do a fly-by on Aug. 22 only.

They join a headlining F-22A Raptor fighter jet, the AV-8 Harrier II — the so-called “Harrier Jump Jet” — and Bill Stein’s Edge 540. Other acts will be announced closer to the event.

Airport officials hope to get nearly 40 static aircraft on display as well.

So far, an F-16 Fighting Falcon, a KC-135R Stratotanker, a Su-27 Flanker, several older warbirds, and some civilian and commercial aircraft are confirmed.

Tickets are available online at flyrfd.com or at the airport terminal or administration building between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children 5-12 through July 31. Online sales add a small convenience fee.
