'Flip This House' star speaking in Rockford

Paul Esajian, one of the stars of the A&E television show “Flip This House,” is the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Midwest REA of Rockford Thursday night.

Esajian’s regular job is chief financial officer of CT Homes LLC and FortuneBuilders Inc. in New Haven, Conn. He manages more than 25 development projects in nine cities and three states.

His talk will focus on better management of subcontractors in rehabilitation projects.

Each “Flip This House” episode spotlights the purchase and renovation of a single unit. In addition to Esajian’s New Haven group, teams from Atlanta, San Antonio and Los Angeles are also featured.

The Midwest REA of Rockford is a real estate management club launched last December to educate property managers and investors. The Midwest REA of Chicago was started in 2001 and now has more than 700 members.

Thursday’s meeting is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rockford Area Association of Realtors office, 6776 E. State St., Rockford. Midwest REA members attend for free. A fee for nonmembers is $15. For information, go to midwestrea.com.
