Employment expo offers tips, mock interviews

ROCKFORD — QPS Employment Group, a Wisconsin-based staffing and recruiting firm, is holding a free employment expo from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Best Western Clock Tower Resort, 7801 E. State St.

A dozen workshops for job seekers and employers will be held, including sessions on resume writing, online job-search tips and social media. From 1 to 3 p.m., attendees will have a chance to sit down with a recruiter for a 10-minute mock-interview session, with each interviewer spending the last five minutes critiquing the candidate.
